In 1818, in present-day Marin County, the Miwok thrived as peaceful hunter-gatherers. Tamalpais and Falling Rock, childhood friends turned lovers, were torn apart when Tam fell ill. Her father, Chief Marin, offered her hand in marriage to whoever found a cure.

Defying the contest rules, Falling Rock set out alone, rescuing captives and journeying to Emerald Falls. There, he retrieved the Elecampane Root, saving Tam. Their love transcended time—this is just one chapter of their eternal story.
